Start streaming with OvenStudio LLHLS in just 5 minutes! Let's begin now.

Quick Start Guide

#01. Subscribe to OvenStudio LLHLS

  1. Please sign in to AWS Marketplace.

  2. And find OvenStudio LLHLS. Click on the product to access the product page and review the details. If you decide to proceed, click on [Continue to Subscribe] and agree to the contract and subscription offer.

  3. Once subscribed, you can set up and utilize the software using Amazon EC2. For detailed instructions, please consult the buyer's guide available at the AWS buyer's guide.

You can choose any instance type to run OvenStudio LLLS, but we recommend EC2 c5.xlarge or higher.

#02. Access to OvenStudio LLHLS

  1. Please sign in to AWS Console Home. And select the instance you're using, and then click [Instances] on the Instances in the left menu on the admin page.

  2. Then, make your first connection to OvenStudio LLHLS using your assigned http://{Public IPv4 address}:8080 or http://{Public IPv4 DNS}:8080.

  1. The first time you connect to OvenStuio LLHLS, it will automatically issue a domain and certificate. Click the HTTPS URL on the first meet page to connect to OvenStudio LLHLS.

  2. On the Password, enter your Instance ID and sign in to OvenStudio LLHLS.

You can use OvenStudio LLHLS with the HTTPS domain issued after the initial connection.

#03. Create a new stream

  1. On the main page of OvenStudio LLHLS, try to click on the [+] located in the Managed Stream to create a new Streaming box.

  2. After clicking, a popup window will appear where you can enter the Stream Name.

Streaming with an Encoder Software - OBS Studio

  1. Launch Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) Studio, load the media source you want to stream, and click the [Settings] menu in the bottom right corner.

  2. In the Settings window, navigate to the [Stream] tab on the left side and select Custom from the Service dropdown menu.

  1. Return to OvenStudio LLHLS and click on the Streaming box in the Managed Stream to access the stream details view.

  2. Then copy the required Ingress URL from the [URLs] tab. The Ingress URL consists of the Server URL and Stream Key.

The Ingress URL consists of a Server URL and a Stream key, so you can copy and paste any URL you want and use it.

  1. Go back to the OBS Settings and paste the copied Ingress URL into the Server field.

If you want to separate the Stream key, you can put the last slash “/” next stream key in the field, but it's okay to just put it in the Server URL without separation.

  1. Adjust any other broadcasting specifications required in the [Output] tab within OBS Settings. Once done, click [OK] to return to the OBS main screen.

  2. Finally, click on the [Start Streaming] button located in the lower right corner of OBS to verify that the broadcast is being sent correctly to OvenStudio LLHLS.

#04. Playback on OvenStudio LLHLS

  1. Please click on the Streaming box displayed on the main page of OvenStudio LLHLS to access the stream details page.

  2. You can then play the stream currently being sent to OvenStudio LLHLS through the OvenPlayer embedded on that page.

It's done. Pretty easy, right?
